PRACTICAL GUIDE: Putting together my application
Elements to provide in order to submit an application file under the 2026 call for applications of the GALENIC DERMATOLOGY RESEARCH FUND
You are a member of a team or the leader of a project that you wish to submit under the call for applications of the GALENIC DERMATOLOGY RESEARCH FUND. Here are some practical elements to help you put together and complete your application file.

You have until Thursday 30 April 2026 to submit your file.
The team of the GALENIC DERMATOLOGY RESEARCH FUND is at your disposal for any further information.
Your file will not be admissible if you have the status of student or doctoral candidate.
A. Project submission
1. Form
When you arrive on the call for applications area, fill in the fields of the application form, which includes the following fields:

First name and surname of the project leader
-
Contact e-mail and telephone number
-
Affiliated organization or entity
-
Chosen research theme, among 2 categories:
Research in dermatology:
a. Skin physiology, and in particular the skin barrier function
b. Functional pharmacology of the skin and new avenues for developing active ingredients and ingredients
c. Characterization of new biological and biotechnological active ingredients (excluding medicinal products)
d. Research on the biological pathways of longevity in the different layers of the skin
e. Skin wound-healing mechanisms
Research in cell biology applied to cosmetics:
a. The biological mechanisms of the skin / cellular permeability and cell/tissue targeting, or how to improve the bioavailability of ingredients and active ingredients in the skin
b. The role of cellular communication and signaling in cell longevity
c. Research on the exposome (environment, pollution, stress, etc.) and on all the external factors that accelerate premature skin aging.
d. Interaction between the endogenous and exogenous factors of premature skin aging.
e. Stem cells and cellular regeneration in skin rejuvenation.
2. File
Upload your file via the dedicated link. The file must be a single file in PDF format, and must include:

A project summary, the scientific presentation of the project (objectives, materials and methods, expected results)

A detailed financing plan, by expenditure item
-
A detailed schedule (by month) of development and research
-
The CV of the project leader and the presentation of the team, where applicable
-
A list of previous publications, if any.

Duration of the research project: 1 year
3. Submission
Once the file is completed, click on "Submit " at the bottom of the page. It is then sent to our dedicated email address. You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within 24 hours.
WARNING: once the file is submitted, it can no longer be modified. To submit any additional information, new document or other element supporting your application, write to the address fonds-de-dotation@galenic.com.

B. File
The file, and in particular its scientific presentation, constitutes the main support for the Committee in charge of the evaluation.
The scientific content must be written in French and in English.
This document must take the following form:

10 pages maximum (including illustrations and appendices)

Format: A4
-
The pages must be numbered and dated in the footer
The file must include the following parts:
1. Abstract:

Project summary: approximately 1,500 characters
-
Keywords: 5
-
Scientific rationale
-
Description of the objectives and research hypotheses clearly showing the innovative character of the project
-
Potential difficulties
-
Materials and methodology used and relevance for achieving the set objectives
-
The expected results and the avenues for application in the field of cosmetology
-
This document may also contain 2 to 4 pages of appendices and/or bibliography to inform the Scientific Committee (without, however, exceeding a total of 10 pages)
3. CV of the project leader:

Academic (and/or hospital) qualifications

Professional activities (including hospital activity)

Teaching activities

Research activities

Other activities (related to the submitted project)

Main publications + CVs of the team members, if the project leader deems it useful for the evaluation of the project
4. Schedule:
Detailed schedule of the project, month by month, for which funding is requested from the GALENIC DERMATOLOGY RESEARCH FUND
Detailed budget of the project, by expenditure item, for which funding is requested from the GALENIC DERMATOLOGY RESEARCH FUND.
All the documents making up your application file (Abstract, Scientific Project, CV of the project leader, Schedule) are to be compiled into a single PDF file, to be uploaded with your application.
